About this event

Do you think Transactional Analysis is all about Parent, Adult and Child?

Are you wanting to pinpoint what is key to coaching & differentiates it from other interventions?

Are you in need of stimulating professional development with really practical applications?

If the answer to any of the above is yes then this is for you!

By the end of this Skills Development Day participants we will have reflected on 5 core objectives:

  1. Reconsidered the positioning and process of contracting in coaching.
  2. Use the concept of 'role worlds' (Bernd Schmid 2007) to identify significant aspects for a client.
  3. Practised lively coaching to explore how presenting issues are a result of how a role is inhabited.
  4. Wondered about the value of questions in coaching.
  5. A fresh appreciation of Transactional Analysis for 21st Century coaching.

We anticipate that you will leave with a sense of re-invigoration and an overall feeling of a day well spent!

Rosemary Napper  has been coaching since the late 1980s - both internally and independently to organisations and to individuals. In the 1990's, whilst looking for professional development which could underpin her practice, Rosemary discovered the ’topographical’ and ‘geological’ maps of Transactional Analysis - and went on to qualify in Organisational applications of consultancy and coaching; and then Educational applications to learning and development.  Rosemary co-authored TACTICS (with Trudi Newton) which explains how TA can inform the learning process.  They also wrote the TA chapter in the Sage Coaching compendium.

Later Rosemary added to her BACP qualification with TA Counselling. She also qualified as a supervisor and trainer in each of these areas, which includes coaching, and provides in depth learning at TAworks in Oxford. She provides TA-based coach training in Brazil annually, and from time to time in India, Japan, and various European countries.

Rosemary lives in central Oxford in a multicoloured house with two cats and a delightful garden.  She is a regular theatre goer , enjoys all foods (except fish!) and grabs the opportunity to travel whenever she gets the chance.

Attendance at our Skills Development Day is eligible for CPD and a Certificate will be emailed to you following the event.
