Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is the most widely used evidence-based practice for improving mental health guided by empirical research. Over the last 30 years the applications of CBT have been widely promoted and its core principles have transcended therapeutic interventions and are now being practised across a broad range of talking treatments. However, while the core principles of CBT remain sound, much has changed in the application of CBT especially within the context of coaching. Rob will focus upon brief interventions as well as current ‘hot topics’ such as imagery, compassion, and transdiagnostic processes.
