The Association for Coaching would like to sincerely thank all members who took the time to feedback via our Website and Member Platform 2017 Feedback Survey.

Your valuable comments have been thoroughly reviewed and analysed by the AC Business Support Services Team, and we’d like to share the findings.

Member Survey summary

Overall the survey shows:

  • 83% of Members find the website “somewhat – extremely” visually appealing
  • 85% of Members find that it is “somewhat- extremely” easy to find what they are looking for on the AC website.
  • 61% of Members find it is “very – extremely” easy to understand information on the AC website.
  • 32% find it is “somewhat” easy to understand and many were still familiarising themselves with the site.
  • 60% of Members have a positive first reaction to the new Member Platform.
  • 32% have a neutral view and again, were still familiarising themselves with this area.
  • 88% of Members find it is “somewhat- extremely” easy to navigate around the new Member Platform.
  • 41% of Members find the Member Platform meets their needs “very-extremely” well.
  • 47% find it meets their needs “somewhat” well.

The response, from AC members, regarding the new Website and Member Platform was highly encouraging. Survey results show the initial visual reaction to the platform is extremely positive.

We feel that as our Members become more familiar with the Website and Member Platform, this will serve to only increase its popularity and ease of use. The AC appreciate that we can further aid that familiarization by producing effective resources to guide members.

Which areas of The AC Website have you used?

The areas on the website that Members are using most frequently include our Membership sections, Event calendar and Accreditation area. These are areas that we have spent time in developing to provide both members and non-members with all the information that allows them to move forward with the coaching journey.



Which areas of the Member Platform have you used?

In terms of the most frequently used areas of the Member Platform, members are looking at their own profile and directory search the most often. What this also highlights is that we, as the AC, need to better communicate to members about the other areas of the platform and how they can best serve and support their needs.

Referral stats

  • 80% of members would recommend the AC website to a friend or colleague
  • 85% of members would recommend AC membership to a friend or colleague

The impressively high rate of recommendation (80%) makes us very grateful for the support we receive from AC members. We will continue to endeavour to provide an inclusive membership association that genuinely adds value to your professional coaching practice. And we hope you will continue to spread the word of what we do.

Conclusion

Following these findings, the AC Leadership Team have created a Website Development Action Plan which we have shared in the section below.

Due to the volume, and quality, of constructive feedback received, we were able to create this Action Plan and without Members taking time to complete the survey this would not have been possible.

We’d like to share that plan with you. The section below outlines our future plans and developments.

Non-Member Survey summary

Overall the survey shows:

  • 41% of Non-Members find the website “somewhat – extremely” visually appealing
  • 98% of Non-Members find that it is “somewhat- extremely” easy to find what they are looking for on the AC website.
  • 68% of Non-Members find it is “very – extremely” easy to understand information on the AC website.
  • 32% find it is “somewhat” easy to understand and many were still familiarising themselves with the site.

We feel that the response to the new Website and Member Platform has been highly encouraging. From the survey we can see that the initial response to how the website looks is extremely positive and we feel that as our Members become more familiar with the Website and Member Platform it will increase its usage and popularity. We do however, acknowledge that we can further aid familiarization by providing effective resources to guide members.

We have focuses resources on developing these areas in order to provide both Members and Non-Members will all the information they need to move forward with their coaching journey.

We have noted the high rate of recommendation (90%) which makes us very grateful for the support we receive from AC members. We will endeavour to continue to provide an inclusive membership association that genuinely adds value to your professional coaching practice. And, in turn, we hope you will continue to spread the word of what we do.

Considered becoming a member

We have noted from the survey that a large proportion of our Non-Members (90%) have considered becoming a member of the AC which is hugely positive for growth. We need to do some further investigation with those Non-Members to find out what support we can provide to enable them to become members of the AC.

Final summary

With any new development, or launch of a new product, there is always apprehension as to how successful the implementation will be, and how it will be received.

The AC are pleased to discover our Members are not only utilizing the Website and Member Platform but enjoying doing so.

Our Website Strategy is a continuously evolving plan, and we will update it as areas are developed and announcements made.
