| Dear @@first_name@@, |
| What does GDPR mean for your coaching business? |
| General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) seems to be mentioned everywhere at the moment. However, there is good reason for this - the new legislation will bring about some significant changes when it comes to data security and privacy. |
| As a member of the Association for Coaching (AC), we want to give you some guidance on what these changes are and how they may impact your coaching business over the coming months. |
| |
| What is GDPR? |
| Enforceable from 25 May 2018, GDPR is an update to the existing Data Protection Directive, which takes into account how widespread internet use has fundamentally changed the way we create, use, share, and store information. Being a directive, the existing framework had, by its nature, the flexibility to be implemented by EU member states as they saw fit, resulting in quite different approaches to data protection across Europe. |
| However, GDPR is a regulation and as such must be followed much more rigidly. At the core of GDPR is the aim to simplify, unify and update the protection of personal data. |
| How can the AC help get you prepared? |
| We have put together an ebook “Discover how GDPR will affect your Coaching Business" to give you a better insight to the changes and what they mean to you as a coach. We will also be sending a series of emails over the coming weeks to give you further insight into Data Collection, Protection and Security. For further information visit our GDPR pages or the Information Commissioners Office |
