How Reflective Practice helps me to be a better coach?

Reflective Practice is a key means by which coaches review, reflect on and improve their coaching.

As a coach, do you ever wonder: “What might I have done differently?”, “What was the learning for me?” or “How can I improve my coaching?”

Reflective Practice helps a coach turn their knowledge and experience into wisdom, and use that wisdom going forwards in their practice.

It’s a vital part of the Coach’s continuous professional development and improvement of what they do and how they do it. Reflection on values, beliefs, approaches, and ethics can help coaches become more responsive to the backgrounds and needs of their coachees.

This webinar series will explore how Reflective Practice creates an opportunity for critical analysis and ideas about “what I might have done differently and what can I do better in the future, based on these reflections?”

In this webinar series you will learn:

  • Why Reflective Practice matters
  • When and how to use Reflective Practice skills
  • Practical tools to enhance your Reflective Practice
  • How to enrich and sustain your Reflective Practice

The presenters will provide the opportunity for live Q&A in each session.

Topics and schedule for the webinar series

**Live webinars will take place at 13.00 BST on the above-mentioned dates.

Webinar 1: The Why, What and How of Reflective Practice for Coaches

This session will explore the nature, scope, and benefits of Reflective Practice. This will include practical ways to be reflective both during and after your coaching sessions. We will also look at how this can improve your coaching competence and create better results for both you, as a coach, and your client.

Webinar 2: Reflective Practice: turning obstacles and barriers into learning

In this session, you will learn how to use and develop Reflective Practice to gain positive learning that enhances your coaching skills and builds professional competence and confidence.

Webinar 3: How to enrich and sustain your Reflective Practice

This webinar will focus on practical exercises and activities to improve your Reflective Practice. We will offer participants the opportunity to practice live during the session and afterwards with peers.

Recordings and slides will be made available to all registered participants.
