You will learn: The characteristics of brilliant teams, how to develop a sustainable team coaching programme and the difference between team coaching and facilitation.
About this event:
Do you want to build brilliant teams?
Team coaching provides a team the opportunity to work on and improve the important characteristics that will enable them to be a ‘brilliant’ team rather than a ‘good’ team. This is achieved by helping teams gain clarity about where they are going, how they work together to perform as a collective and how they can bring about an increase in performance.
Whilst team facilitation and team building can deliver short-term results, rarely do they lead to long term embedded change. In contrast, team coaching focuses both on how the team works within their organisational system and the team itself and therefore, brings about sustainable change.
The 'Creating the Team Edge’ team coaching approach helps executives, leaders and managers build ‘brilliant’ teams. This is achieved by, for example, helping them collectively agree their purpose, strategy and objectives, develop trusting and cohesive relationships, have robust conversations and create new and different thinking.
This practical and experiential session will be useful for coaches, trainers, facilitators, leaders, managers or anyone who wants to improve a team’s effectiveness and performance.
By the end of this session, you will be able to:
- Understand the 7 characteristics of brilliant teams
- Learn about team coaching and the ‘Creating the Team Edge’ team coaching framework, model and approach
- Hear about the latest thinking and research on building brilliant teams
- Understand the difference between team coaching and facilitation
- Consider how to apply team coaching to your own teams
- Experience some team coaching exercises and tools to use with teams
