Coaching for Emotional Intelligence

For more than a decade, research has made it clear that to be successful in our personal and professional lives we need to practice the skills of Emotional Intelligence (EI). Everyone benefits from having strengths in Emotional Intelligence.

A recent study published in the Journal of Experiential Psychotherapy found that of 1,138 coaches and their clients from 88 countries, 98% of coaches agreed that having strong EI themselves was essential to effectively assist their clients. And 90% of coaching clients agreed that it is important to develop EI to work through their challenges.

In this webinar, Martyn Newman will update participants on the research conducted over 10 years with 7,000 professionals from 11 regions of the world, and will reveal the 10 key Emotional Intelligence skills that drive leadership performance.

Martyn will also introduce the Emotional Capital Report™ (ECR) – the first psychometrically reliable tool specifically designed to measure emotional intelligence and leadership ability. He will also describe a powerful coaching methodology for building EI skills.

In this webinar, we will interview Dr. Martyn Newman to find out:

  1. Why emotional intelligence continues to provide such a compelling framework for coaching personal change
  2. Why benchmarking and developing your EI is not a personality assessment
  3. How neuroscience supports the development of EI
  4. How mindfulness is a key technology for developing EI.

Preparation & Resources

The speaker suggests participants to read the Emotional Capitalists: the Ultimate Guide to Developing Emotional Intelligence for Leaders book.

Additionally, participants will be given the opportunity to take the Emotional Capital Report™ (ECR) in advance of the webinar. A link to this will be sent to all registered participants PRIOR to the webinar. Please register early in order to take the ECR before the webinar on the 29th of January 2019. (please note that this offer will not be available after the 29th of January).
