About the Event
Motivational Interviewing is one of the most empirically supported coaching approaches, with over 1,000 controlled trials and 100 systematic reviews and meta-analysis. Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative, person-centred conversational style for helping people become more able to change, and more confident about changing, delivered within an empathic and compassionate relationship.

Dr Tim Anstiss is a medical doctor, a member of the Faculty of Sports and Exercise Medicine and the British Psychological Society and acts as medical adviser to the Rugby Players Association. As well as speaking at 10 or more conferences a year, Dr Tim Anstiss has authored and co-authored several academic book chapters and papers on wellbeing and coaching / behaviour change approaches. Dr Tim Anstiss teaches Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness and compassionate mind training based approaches.
