About this Event:
- Do you have an awareness of Carol Dweck’s Growth Mindset theory, and want to know more?
- Do you see coachees with fixed beliefs that seem impossible for them to change? “I’ll never be able to….”
- Do you sometimes doubt your ability to get good at something that you find difficult? (if you don’t, then do share your secret!)
Growth Mindset theory is a powerful, well researched theory that has had 40 years of continuous work by Carol Dweck and her teams. Her principle motivation is to help individuals remove the obstacles to their potentially limitless potential.The focus for is understanding what prevents - or allows - children and adults to believe in their capacity to change
And, of course, change is at the heart of what we do as coaches. Our focus is often on helping our coachee have a different perspective and overcome self-imposed obstacles
Coaches who learn about this approach are able to use their awareness of Growth Mindset theory to listen, support and challenge their coachees, to help them be aware of their own beliefs and approaches - and the possibility of change. The power of this has been seen time and time again in coaching sessions that have resulted in success.
Experience this event over a two half day period in a virtual setting.
In this Virtual Event you will learn:
- A good grounding in the lesser known aspects of Mindset Theory;
- The language that coaches may use that may provoke a fixed mindset;
- What to listen for and what the cues and clues are as to the current mindset of the coachee;
- The questions to ask that give the best chance of changing mindsets.
