About the event

The Association for Coaching (AC) Ireland are delighted to invite you to join us online for a practical seminar, entitled, Building Emotional Capital.

In order to be effective in business today, leaders need emotional intelligence - the skills to manage their emotions well and influence the emotions, motivation and behaviour of other people toward shared goals and positive outcomes.

This workshop will examine the science of EQ and its relationship to leadership success. It will show you how to define, measure and coach the skills associated with emotionally intelligent leadership. It will introduce you to the Emotional Capital Report (ECR), a valid and reliable measure of EQ as applied to effective leadership. There will be small breakout rooms for group discussion and practice using ECR profiles with a view to coaching enhanced leadership performance and effectiveness. The workshop is aimed at experienced executive coaches; prior experience of using psychometrics in coaching is desirable but not necessary.

What you will learn

Participants will gain a greater understanding of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) as it is applied to workplace performance. They will develop insight and appreciation of emotional competencies such as self-knowing, self-reliance, empathy, optimism, self-actualisation and self-confidence that are at the heart of emotional capital and drive effective leadership. Through group discussion and practice with ECR profiles, participants will become familiar with a very powerful and concrete language to discuss and to coach some of the most challenging and often less tangible building blocks of effective leadership.
