Keep your Practice Fresh: 101 Coaching Supervision Techniques
Supervision is one way of reflecting on your work so that you can see more than you saw at the time, but how do you keep your practice fresh?
Our speaker for this webinar, Michelle Lucas, is an Accredited Coach and Supervisor, Speaker and Author. Michelle has Co-Authored and Edited a new book “101 Coaching Supervision Techniques, Approaches, Enquiries and Experiments”, which was launched on 12 May.
Michelle has brought together 43 contributors all offering their experience and favourite techniques to this new book. It has been designed with both Supervisor and Supervisee in mind, working in collaboration. They offer you 101 ideas to ensure you are constantly stretching your reflective practice together.
In this webinar, you will meet Michelle Lucas, who will take you through the main principles of the philosophy, with a step by step guide to techniques which are most effective when the practitioner understands and adopts a particular mindset.
In this interactive webinar, Michelle will share a couple of the techniques which she personally wrote for the book. You will have the opportunity to practice one of them in triads (we’ll use break out rooms) with your fellow delegates, before sharing your learning with the whole group.
To help with this practice, you will receive a link to a detailed written brief of the technique (an excerpt from the book) so that you can refer to this when in the break out rooms.
In this webinar you will learn:
- How the book is organised and how it can support you to use new techniques in your own practice (for both Supervisors and Coaches)?
- Why understanding the origin of a technique is important?
- How to work with one technique?
- How the experimentation process can help us connect to others at a deeper level?
We will also consider key learning points such as:
- The collaborative nature of coaching supervision
- How supervisees can be the architect of the supervision they receive
- How to apply supervision techniques to coaching clients
- The importance of integrating and adapting new ways of working in an authentic way
You will be sent a link to the written brief for the technique, please ensure you can access the link so that you can view the material during the webinar.
Participants will receive a link to an excerpt from the book to read before the webinar.
Following the webinar, you will receive a link to a second excerpt from the book.
As with all of our webinars, you will have access to the recording of the session (we don’t record the breakout rooms) and a copy of the slides.
Michelle will share a discount code in case you wish to purchase Michelle’s new book.
Participants will be invited to join a LinkedIn Group to continue the conversation.
