Applying Growth Mindset In Coaching

Growth Mindset is a ground-breaking psychological theory developed by Professor Carol Dweck of Stanford University.

It is the belief that a person's capacities and talents can be improved over time.

A Growth Mindset contrasts with a Fixed Mindset - the limiting belief that such capacities cannot be meaningfully developed. Proponents of the theory contend that adopting a growth mindset, and rejecting a fixed mindset, can make people more likely to succeed.

Throughout this programme, coaches will have the opportunity to develop a deep understanding of the theory and how it can be implemented within their work.

Coaches will have access to expert advice, tools, resources, and opportunities to share best practices with fellow professionals.

Who is this programme for?

This is suitable for coaches working across a variety of contexts. The webinars, resources, and practice will support delegates to develop an excellent working knowledge of an often misunderstood and applied topic and help them to identify specific next steps for implementation within their work.

In this Signature Programme, you will learn

  • A deep understanding of growth mindset theory
  • How to recognize barriers to change in yourself and others
  • How to use innovative tools to identify and develop mindsets
  • How existing techniques and approaches support the development of a growth mindset
  • How to prioritize areas for change in relation to mindset

Active learning and resources

Delegates will gain access to a range of resources, articles, and tools that will support their own professional practice. The course will be delivered in a highly interactive way, providing opportunities for sharing reflections to develop deep understanding. Jeremy and Rachel will also be offering discounted copies of their book 'The Growth Mindset Coaching Kit'.
