He has over 5,000 coaching hours and has published six books and more than a dozen academic articles and book chapters. Paul has taught coaching at the Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong, teaches on the Oxford Brookes coaching supervision program, and is an Honorary Research Associate at Oxford Brookes University.

Dr Suzi Skinner (PhD) is a published author, researcher, international leadership advisor and Managing Director of Roar People - a global leadership consultancy. Morning Session

Between 2019 and 2024 Paul conducted an extensive piece of meta-research into team effectiveness, from which emerged the book The Wise Team Coach: Crafting a Personal Approach to Team Coaching, and a team coach development program for coaches and managers. At the request of many of the team coaches he works with, Paul has further expanded on coach development materials to include a whole piece on how to Prepare Yourself. Team coaching can be tough, and Paul shares insights into how best ready yourself to walk into a room prepared to do work with an intact team, the members of which may be anxious and/or angry. Along the way Paul will share the results of some recent research that points to the kind of work teams most typically want help with.

In the Flow: Leading as optimal experience

In a world obsessed with certainty, leadership has become synonymous with control. We seek data to forecast the future, shape strategies to minimise risk, and use AI to do our thinking for us. Yet despite our best efforts, complexity and uncertainty keep outpacing us. Control becomes contraction and we find ourselves caught up in cycles of stress, stagnation and silo-working. We’re left feeling overwhelmed, overworked and under-inspired, and managing people who are equally disengaged.

Christina Wyatt

Christina is an Executive Coach and team coach assessor lead at the Association for Coaching, where she supports coaches in developing their skills and impact. With a background in senior leadership and coaching at Barclays Bank, she has worked with senior leaders across multiple industries, helping them navigate change, build high-performing teams, and lead with authenticity. She coaches globally across banking, finance, professional services, retail, education, and more, blending business insight with a calm yet challenging approach. Christina is passionate about fostering deep, insightful conversations.
