AC Fellow Pop-up Sessions provide a rich and flexible platform for Fellow Members to connect around shared curiosities and exchange dialogue relating to a core question.

Each Fellow Pop-up Session is free from selling, self-promotion, and lecture-style presentations and are facilitated by an AC Fellow Guest from the AC Fellow Membership community, they provide an opportunity for:

• Knowledge exchange and creation
• Fellow global network development
• Growing and inspiring the Fellow community as well as your own coaching practice
• Shared leadership approach, using complex adaptive systems such as emergence, interconnectedness and growth
• Other initiatives from discussions.

What is a coaching philosophy and why might we want to have one?

Geoffrey Abbott, is theAC APAC Fellow Lead, Director at InterCoach and Adjunct Professor at the QUT Graduate School of Business

Geoff is an experienced international coach, educator, speaker, and writer. Known for his energy-based approach to coaching, Geoff helps leaders and teams navigate complexity and embrace paradoxical thinking. He’s currently developing the VIBE integrated coaching system. His preferred coaching mode is ‘serious play’.

With extensive experience across sectors like government, automotive, mining, education, defense, and media, Geoff’s academic focus is on helping people flourish in messy organizational contexts. As an Adjunct Professor at the QUT Graduate School of Business, he teaches leadership, systems thinking, team dynamics, and personal development—essentially, how to survive and thrive in the real world. His pioneering doctoral research on intercultural coaching continues to inform his work.

Geoff is a Lead Fellow of the Association for Coaching, a member of the Editorial Board of Coaching Perspectives, and serves on the editorial boards of two academic coaching journals. He splits his time between Brisbane and Panama, where he enjoys cycling, golf, travel, and improving his Spanish.

Join us for the first exclusive in-person event created especially for AC Fellow Members.

This is a unique opportunity to come together with fellow members to exchange perspectives, strengthen connections and engage in meaningful discussion on coaching C-suite executives and Boards. At the heart of the afternoon will be a fireside chat with Katherine Tulpa, followed by opportunities for shared reflection and conversation with peers.

As Founder of Wisdom8 and CEO of the Association for Coaching, Katherine brings extensive international experience of delivering executive coaching programmes for C-suite professionals, Boards and senior leaders across more than 20 international markets. She will share practical insights into the dynamics of coaching at the highest levels of leadership, along with emerging trends and lessons learned from working with senior leaders across different sectors and cultures.

Katherine Tulpa is a pioneering Executive Coach with significant global leadership coaching experience working with Boards, CEOs, C-suite leaders and executive teams. As Founder of Wisdom8 and CEO of the Association for Coaching (AC), Katherine is a leading authority in executive coaching and leadership development, dedicated to elevating global leadership for greater societal impact through coaching.

Katherine was named Coaching/Mentoring Person of the Year by Coaching at Work and has received two Association for Coaching Honorary Awards for her influence and impact on the coaching profession. Her current research explores what drives success in multicultural Boards, insights she applies directly in her work with CEOs and leadership teams.

Katherine serves on the International Editorial Board of Coaching: An International Journal of Theory, Research and Practice and is co-author of Excellence in Coaching, Diversity in Coaching and Leadership Coaching (Kogan Page). She also leads the coaching faculty for the Marketing Academy, a non-profit organisation where professional coaches donate their time to develop the next generation of leaders.
