Katharine Collins is a counsellor, coach and trainer. She has a BACP accredited Diploma in Integrative Counselling from the Minster Centre and practices as counsellor. She is also enrolled on the Advanced Diploma in Coaching at the Centre for Coaching, and has a Certificate in Coaching and a Primary Certificate in Stress Management Coaching.
In 2017, Katharine obtained funding through Connect Hackney to set up the UK’s first (that we know of!) free coaching service for LGBTQ people in Hackney. Out and About offers a program of 1-2-1 coaching and peer support/befriending, with the aim of reducing and preventing social isolation in the older LGBTQ community.
6 sessions of one-to-one life coaching and the ongoing support for a 'coaching ally' volunteer (also known as a befriender). This service is only free for LGBTQ people aged 50+ living in Hackney.
I have a special interest in working with LGBTQ people (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and queer), and unpaid carers. I am passionate about making coaching available to people living on little or no income.
