As interviewer, counsellor and coach I have great experience of people’s stories and I have learned to actively listen, understand, support and enable those I work with. As a coach I work with to enable clients to identify their needs and progress in the way that works best for them towards the goals that they set. This requires motivation from clients and from me. As a Coach, my key motivation is the desire to facilitate positive change for others and I know that I can do this for anyone who comes to me wanting to change. Central to my success in coaching is the life experience I bring. My journey has not been easy, I have taken the difficult path at times and there have been many obstacles to overcome. But I know that smooth seas do not make skillful sailors. So, I value every life experience good or bad, each one has presented me with knowledge and understanding of myself and of others.
I provide face to face coaching (and if required counselling) with phone, email and text support for businesses, individuals and groups. I provide coaching in the following specialist areas:
Coaching for athletes I work with sportsmen and women who are in transition into a career in sport or transitioning out of a career in sport.
Coaching for professional development I put the relationship between career and identity at the centre of my work in professional development, as I know that our career has so much to do with our sense of self.
Coaching for women I provide a specialist coaching service for women because I have found that women rarely put their needs before others; family, friends, colleagues. The aims and outcomes remain the same as for all my clients, but I work with women by facilitating them to openly and honestly and without guilt, express their needs and desires.
