My professional background includes the following: 1) public services marketing; 2) lecturer in marketing and management; 3) providing specialist training to private, public and voluntary sector organisations; 4) regional partnership development role within the Civil Service; 5) partnership work within the NHS; 6) managing several social enterprise organisations; and 7) non-executive director for several social enterprises and the Arts Council.
As a result of over forty years in voluntary work, I also run two other businesses - Historian (with an emphasis on African-centred and ancient studies) and Caribbean Genealogist.
I am a published author of two books and, from time to time contribute articles to local, regional, national and international publications.
