Prior to re-training as a Professional Coach I worked for 20+ years as a Speech and Language Therapist in a variety of NHS Trusts/Boards. I also have lots of experience of working in voluntary sector in local church and national Christian organisations. I'm married with two (almost) adult children. My life and work have given me lots of opportunities to develop skills to walk with and embrace people of all ages and from all backgrounds, all of which are important foundation s for my coaching career and business.
Scottish Borders predominantly, but will travel to other parts of UK for group training sessions lasting half a day or more. Skype/Messenger coaching worldwide, without bounds!
Borders and Beyond Coaching is about accompanying people on their journey of adventure and discovery as they pursue their goals or aspirations, empowering them to overcome borders and barriers, and inspiring them to achieve and celebrate successes beyond what they thought was possible.
At all times the client determines the content of the coaching sessions whilst the coach determines the structure through use of powerful questioning techniques and tools. Coaching sessions may therefore encompass any aspect of life – work, career, leisure, health and wellbeing.
I work with individuals on a 1:1 basis over a number of sessions, building rapport, trust confidence and resilience enabling the client to define their goal, devise their strategy, utilise their strengths, and enjoy their successes. Alternatively I deliver group coaching sessions where participants either work towards individual or organisational goals.
