I have been Chair of an NHS acute hospital trust; a housing market renewal pathfinder; a public-private partnership developing primary care infrastructure; a national Non-Departmental Public Body and charity; and a start-up charity focused on disadvantaged young people. I have been an FE college governor, a school governor, a trustee of an endowed charity dealing with severe and multiple disadvantage, and a statutory appointed non-executive director of a BME housing association. I have also worked with and supported many private and public sector boards, Chairs and non-executive directors, particularly in challenging settings.
I am Chief Executive of a niche management consultancy specialising in systemic change, strategy and troubleshooting. I have been on the senior team of an FTSE250 PLC, director/founder of three successful start-up businesses, and Chief Executive of a Chamber of Commerce/TEC/Business Link.
I am a highly experienced systemic coach and consultant working in the public, private and not for profit sectors. I work with individuals and teams to help them make sense of complex situations, identify optimum ways of progressing, and stay calm and confident in the midst of uncertainty.
I have a Masters in Business Administration, a degree in Philosophy, a Diploma in Coaching and am a visiting Professor of Enterprise. I am studying for a Masters in Systems Thinking. I am a qualified IBM Systems Engineer. I was awarded an OBE in 2012 for services to business and the community.
