“The impact of coaching shows up in change – that’s the clearest evidence that coaching works” (Kimsey-House, Kimsey-House, Sandahl and Whitworth, 2018). I am witnessing how my coachees are embracing the challenge of change and are having the courage to show up to every session to be challenged again. What I know is not important. How I show up is all important. Being present, having compassionate curiosity and radical acceptance of everything as it is right in this moment are the biggest things I have learned through this process. “Although it may be paradoxical, it is only from this radical acceptance that real change can emerge” (González et al., 2018). I focus on ADHD coaching. It is here that I have found my passion. Having first-hand knowledge of ADHD is essential in order for me to continue to challenge myself and my coachees through ever more compassion, empathy, tolerance and understanding. It is not about what I know. It is about what I learn.
