The Association for Coaching (AC) was established in 2002 and is a leading independent and not-for- profit professional body dedicated to promoting best practice and raising awareness and standards of coaching worldwide.
As an inclusive body, with members in over 70 countries, it is made up of professional coaches, academic institutions, trainers and providers of coaching, as well as sponsors of coaching from the third sector through to large corporates, building coaching cultures.
Our purpose is to inspire and champion coaching excellence, to advance the coaching profession and make a sustainable difference to individuals, organizations and society.

As membership bodies, we are committed to maintaining and promoting excellent practice in coaching and mentoring and have therefore created The Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors.
This code of ethics sets the expectation of best practice in coaching and mentoring and promotes the development of coaching and mentoring excellence.
Whether you are an existing coach, an organisation providing coaching training or someone who is looking to engage in a Coaching culture for their organisation, the Association for Coaching has a membership level for you.

Recognition of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Hours
The AC has launched a new Continuous Professional Development (CPD) Hours Scheme which offers organizations and their participants evidence of ongoing professional development by having validated AC CPD hours. AC Learned Society
The AC has been classified as a Learned Society (HMRC reference: Coaching International Ltd Association) and as such, membership subscriptions are exempt from UK VAT. Members may be able to reclaim tax they pay on their AC membership subscriptions. For further information please go here.

Regional Leadership Teams
The AC’s continued growth and success is driven by key people who dedicate their time, energy and ideas to an array of projects and activities. As we grow globally we have initiatives that need support both at a regional and international level.
Throughout the year the AC offers a range of events that aim to share inspiring ideas and provide access to industry leading speakers. We offer events at an international, national, and local level and these are open both to Members and non-members.
Local Co-coaching Groups

The AC Advisory Panel advises the Global Team and Senior Leadership Team to ensure that the association’s programme of events and services corresponds as far as possible to the needs of the association’s membership and continues to act in the best interests of the total membership.Read more
Group Supervision Experience Calls
The AC provides a GSE service for members on the third Thursday of each month. The calls are facilitated by experienced AC Coaches and Supervisors and are available to all AC Members across the world.
