Do We Dare to Care?”with Fenella TrevillionThis session offers an opportunity to explore one of the most sensitive and significant dynamics within coaching supervision: how visible racial difference shows up in our relational spaces. Fenella will guide us through a reflective and compassionate exploration that supports supervisors in deepening awareness, confidence and connection in their practice. Through this gentle but honest inquiry, you will gain greater clarity, courage and insight to create a more inclusive, attuned and ethically grounded environment for the people you supervise.
What You Will LearnDuring this 60-minute interactive session, you will: - Explore how “mess making” naturally arises when encountering visible racial difference in supervision
- Work with a model that balances dare and care to surface what may be unspoken in coaching and supervision relationships
- Reflect on your own patterns of avoidance, fear, assumptions and relational responses
- Consider how courageous curiosity can build deeper trust, connection and understanding
- Identify practical ways to bring greater awareness, compassion and self-reflection into your supervision work
- Engage in supportive dialogue with peers from our global supervision community.
Who Should AttendThis meeting is for: - Coach Supervisors who want to deepen their reflective capacity and engage more openly with racial difference
- Newly accredited supervisors wishing to build confidence in navigating complex relational dynamics
- Experienced supervisors exploring racial justice, ethical practice and relational courage
- Any Association for Coaching (AC) Coach Supervisor Member committed to ongoing growth, humility and inclusive practice.
