About this Event
Whether you are preparing for an important conversation at work or seeking to improve your relationships in the wider world, this masterclass provides an overview of the tools to do so with confidence and skill. It covers the four ‘secrets’ or ‘interventions’ to having challenging conversations so that you don’t just resolve a conflict or convey information; you create a real connection and foster meaningful growth. A humanistic approach to making dialogue authentic encourages participants to see conversations as opportunities for mutual enrichment, rather than as tasks to be managed or problems to be solved. The masterclass covers the importance of creating the conditions where each person’s voice matters, people feel listened to and a shared understanding develops leading to new possibilities.
In This Virtual Event you Will Learn:
- An overview of the importance of listening deeply and the key skills that help to ‘build a bridge’ and generate trust
- An awareness of how three reactive tendencies scupper difficult conversations and what to do about this so that you ‘find your ground’
- An understanding of the importance of creating a ‘container’ or holding environment in which tricky topics can be discussed
- An insight into how to manage team dialogue or conversations in groups by ‘reading the room’ and bringing in the missing dialogic ‘actions
- A recognition of the need to ‘hold space’ as a coach or leader so that there’s a willingness to be open to change and allow new possibilities to surface
