What to Expect

The Live Assessment is an interactive, small-group session where you will:

• Engage in professional discussions on coaching ethics and personal coaching approach
• Participate in triad coaching – coach, be coached, and observe in a structured format
• Reflect and plan your ongoing coaching development and create a personalized development plan to take away with you

The session format will include:

• Small group setting – Max 6 applicants per session
• Two assessors per session for fair and balanced evaluation
• Safe, professional environment to showcase your skills

Session Structure & Activities

The session includes:

• Group Discussion – Exploring the AC Global Code of Ethics & Ethical Scenarios
• Professional Discussion – 1:1 discussion with an Assessor about your coaching approach
• Triad Coaching – Practical coaching with peers & structured feedback
• Critical Reflection & Development Planning

Active Participation Time:  5 hours. Applicants should allow extra time for the session as it may extend due to breaks and additional questioning. On average, please allow an additional 2.5 hours for the session.

Total Session Time: 7.5 hours

Before Your Session

Pre-Reading

Once booked, you will be asked to:

Review pre-reading materials which include the Global Code of Ethics,  AC Coaching Competency Framework, Professional Discussion Questions and any ethical questions that may be asked on the day.

Please note that while some questions are provided in advance, additional questions may be asked on the day. 

Document Submission

You will also be asked by the AC Team to submit completed application documents, which include:

• Training certificate (meeting required training hours)
• Client reference/s (number of references varies by accreditation level)
• Supervision report with reflections & supervisor input detailing required number of sessions for accreditation level.
• Coaching log to verify experience hours (Executive Coach Accreditation applicants need to ensure a minimum of 75% of coaching is carried out within an organizational context.
• CPD certificate/s to demonstrate ongoing learning (number of certificates varies by accreditation level)

All documents must be uploaded at least 2 weeks before your session date. The AC team will provide instructions after booking. If you do not submit the documents prior to the session this will mean you cannot attend the session.
