121: International Trends in Coaching

In this Episode

Our host Rob Lawrence is joined by Geoffrey Abbot, AC Global Advisory Panel member; Ian Mitchell, Chair of the AC Northwest Europe area and part of the Supervision SIG; and Victoria Leath, AC's Head of Corporate Membership & Accreditation and Head of International Growth. Drawing on their own experiences as well as literature and theory, these three powerhouses of coaching come together in a thought-provoking conversation to discuss current practice, future directions and explore developments in coaching through an international and intercultural lens.

You Will Learn

  • How different forms of coaching have emerged that challenge some of the traditional foundations in 'western' practices and thinking
  • How alternative cultural frames are being applied - including indigenous perspectives challenging colonial perspectives of leadership and coaching
  • About the increasing diversity and flexibility in the way coaching is emerging globally – culturally, systemically, and individually
