067: The Impact of Culture in the Coaching Relationship

In this Episode

Jenny Plaister-Ten, Accredited Master Coach and Coaching Supervisor, joins Dr. Alexandra Morgan in a conversation about the impact of culture in coaching. There is a vast body of knowledge from interculturalists as well as cross-cultural psychology, subjective culture, and inter-cultural management. What unites these approaches is the perspective that values are formed in our culture of origin. Yet coaches are not trained to identify cultural values and how our values are formed is often overlooked. .

You Will Learn

  • The importance of understanding different cultural values
  • The impact values have on our mindset, behaviour, and identity
  • How to bring cultural values to awareness in a safe way, using the Cross-Cultural Kaleidoscope
