Legal requirements for coaches

There are at present no legal requirements for qualifications for coaches, which is why the AC and other similar bodies are promoting best practice and raising the awareness and standards of coaching, while providing support for their members. Our members have varied backgrounds on their route into coaching such as HR, teaching, training etc. and if you would like to discuss further do feel free to contact us.

Again, there is no legal requirement for joining a professional body, but we do recommend this, both for your own peace of mind and that of your clients’, knowing that you have agreed to abide by a code of ethics and good standards.
