GB In Person Event: Arts-Based Coaching. A Practical Journey into Creative Coaching Techniques

In this session participants will explore how artistic processes, such as music, photography, metaphor work or improvisational techniques, can be integrated into coaching conversations to help clients access intuition, emotions, and tacit knowledge that traditional dialogue may overlook.

We will cover the foundations of arts-based coaching, including psychological principles behind creative expression, how to select appropriate methods for different client needs, and ways to facilitate arts-based coaching processes safely and ethically. Through hands-on experiential activities, you will practice guiding clients through their thinking process. The workshop also addresses how arts-based tools enhance reflection and support complex transitions.

By the end of the workshop, coaches will have a grounded starting point and an evolving toolkit they can experiment with personally before introducing it to clients. They will leave with a deeper appreciation of how artistic processes can enrich reflection, open new channels of understanding, and expand their coaching presence.

Rather than a fixed set of techniques, the workshop offers a foundation for ongoing exploration, continued study, and a more spacious, imaginative approach to human development.

It this event you will learn:

  • Develop an understanding of core Arts-Based Coaching principles and how creative processes support awareness, insight, and transformation.
  • Apply skills for facilitating safe, meaningful arts-based exploration with clients.
  • Interpret and translate artistic expressions into productive coaching dialogue.
  • Strengthen confidence in integrating creativity into coaching, using a flexible set of techniques that can evolve with personal practice.
  • Recognise ethical and practical considerations involved in arts-based methods, including boundaries, client readiness, and appropriate technique selection.

Who is this event for?

This webinar is for new coaches, seasoned coaches, executive coaches, team coaches, personal or career coaches, leader coaches, health coaches, supervisors, HR /OD professionals, and internal coaches.
