I have a PhD in psychology & over 20 years’ experience in leadership within the university sector and beyond. My work has been recognized with prizes for teaching, research, and EDI. Part of the latter awards were for creation of coaching programs for early career staff members. After seeking the American dream by leaving the USA and doing a post-doc in Sweden and working my way up to tenure and director positions in the UK, I realized my disillusionment with academia was not just my experience as a Latin American woman finding it hard to fit in, but was actually gaslighting: messages that if you work hard, give your all, then you will be fulfilled. The reality was work took more of my time and exploited my values. So, I left academia in 2021. My pillars are acceptance, exploration and authenticity to help people find their sense of purpose. My core training is in Acceptance and Commitment Therapeutic methods, but applied to a coaching structure.

Much of my continuing education is in self-compassion and anti-racism, since I am also an Education Consultant and an EDI consultant. On my free time, I am dancing to African and Latin rhythms, sometime drumming and cycling too!
