North east; anything beyond that, happy to discuss options? Virtual coaching
I qualified in 2010 (Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Leadership and Performance Coaching from Northumbria University). I generally adopt a person centred approach, to develop rapport with coachees and establish their aims. I also use behavioural and cognitive approaches as and when required, I have coached people individually for over 250 hours. Since September 2021 I have worked for the Department for Work and Pensions in various roles, including project coordination, change impacting, business cases and benefit realisation, one to one coaching, coaching strategy work and implementation, training and facilitation, staff capability assessments and learning and development engagement. I worked in local government from February 2001 to September 2021, in democratic services and project management. I have qualifications in people management, project management and teaching and have a Strategic Leadership MBA.
I begin coaching relationships with discussions about what coaching is/isn’t. I provide my coaching agreement/contract, which we both must agree and sign before beginning any coaching. I require their intent and desire for change to be serious, to receive feedback, they're willing to try new ways of working, be honest about their aims; and that they are willing to explore, challenge and change thoughts, feelings and actions they recognise are self-defeating. I have wide ranging coaching experience supporting many backgrounds and professions. Most of my coaching is on a one-to-one basis (over 250 hours of formal coaching), ranging from shorter work aims (for example better time management), medium term (for example organisational change), to long term ambitions and targets (career development etc). I have also coached in HR interventions and large corporate projects. I also use group coaching skills when facilitating training.
