How do I make a complaint?

Please refer to our complaints procedure.

As you will be able to see from this web page, if you want to make a complaint against an individual or organization, they must be a member of the Association for Coaching or hold AC Accreditation in order for us to act.

If your coach, supervisor, coaching related training provider is not a member of the AC and does not hold AC accreditation, we will be unable to follow our complaints procedure to deal with this matter. As part of our continuous improvement and evaluation process, we keep any complaints on file for future reference in case an individual should apply to become a member of or gain accreditation with the AC.

If your coach or coaching provider is a member of the Association for Coaching, your complaint must be made in writing using the Complaints Form. This can be found on our site here.

If your coach, supervisor or coaching related training provider is a member of or holds accreditation with the AC, your complaint must be made in writing using the Complaints Form. This can be found on our site here.

Though there are at present no legal requirements for qualifications for coaches, the AC and other similar bodies are promoting best practice and raising the awareness and standards of coaching. If your coach, supervisor or coaching related training provider is not a member of or accredited by the AC the other main coaching bodies you could check with are International Coach Federation and European Mentoring and Coaching Council and their details can be found on the link here.

If you wish to make a complaint against the Association for Coaching or one of its representatives please email complaints@associationforcoaching.com
