What is the AC’s position on the future of coach training?

While there are excellent coaches, who don’t have formal qualifications, current legislative developments and industry trends suggest clients will increasingly expect those who offer coaching to be appropriately qualified and adhere to the highest ethical and quality standards.

AC Accreditation is a way of reassuring the buyers of coaching services that coaches have demonstrated their fitness to practice, adhere to a code of ethics, base their coaching around a set of recognized coaching competencies and that they are supported by a Professional Coaching Membership Body.

The Association will continue to monitor developments in this area closely and aligns with other key membership bodies through the Global Coaching and Mentoring Alliance which seeks to best represent the coaching profession in any decision-making process, internationally.
