Movement in CoachingIn this reflective session, Pearl Jordan helps participants explore using movement to uncover their biases and fears and stretch their comfort zones while providing insights, greater self-awareness, and integrity as a coach. Pearl invites you to experience movement for yourself as a developmental learning exercise, demonstrating how simplistic movement improves self-awareness and new insights. Explore this technique for your coach development and practice. Come with curiosity and openness to discover your unique coaching dance for a more significant impact on clients. The Power of Poetry in CoachingAs coaches, we know the power of writing down our goals and actions. Writing can take us even further when we add a creative tool like poetry. Creativity allows us to go deeper as we strive to achieve results – for ourselves or our clients. It can circumvent the conscious mind and lead us into the rich, inner world of the unconscious. In this session, Charmaine Pollard introduces poetry as a coaching tool. By reading a poem, writing in response, and then reflecting, we can gain a clearer understanding of ourselves and our aspirations. From there, we can set realistic goals, work towards them enthusiastically, and turn our dreams into reality. Closing Panel: Creative Coaching - Best Practice and BeyondBeth Clare McManus, Andréa Watts, Jackee Holder, and Sally Waters share their thoughts and practical tips on how to bring more creativity into coaching. They discuss creativity as an advanced practice within coaching and discuss ethical considerations for coaching responsibly when using these approaches. This final session is inspiring, grounding, and celebratory of an exciting and growing form of coaching. Participants left feeling confident to begin or develop their creative coaching practice grounded in the ethics that underpin these empowering and transformative approaches.
