Journaling for Coaching: A Professional’s Toolkit

How can you help clients extract deeper, lasting value from feedback?

In this four-part webinar series, experienced Leadership Coaches, Jackee Holder and Fiona Parashar, introduce an accessible journaling methodology, the R.E.A.D framework, designed to tap into the rich potential of expressive writing.

Grounded in scientific research combined with exercises and hands-on practice, this series equips coaches, supervisors and therapists with tools to foster growth, insight, and positive changes in their clients.

This programme guides you through the four-part R.E.A.D framework that provides a container for using journaling when working with clients:

  • Reflect: Helping clients articulate their inner thoughts, feelings and self-perceptions
  • Explore: Encouraging clients to dive deeper, uncovering layers of meaning and understanding about their own experiences
  • Awareness: Supporting clients in gaining new perspectives and insights into their lived experiences
  • Decide: Enabling clients to transform insights into concrete, actionable steps

The R.E.A.D framework is structured to be adaptable, inspiring and practical. It enables clients to reflect, explore, build awareness, and make decisions through journaling, with a clear focus on supporting clients in unlocking their own wisdom and potential through writing.

In this webinar series you will learn:

  • Confidently integrate journaling into your coaching practice, both online and in-person
  • Introduce journaling in a way that feels creative, client-centred and adaptable to individual client's needs
  • Understand the scientific foundations of expressive writing and its role in fostering emotional resilience, stress management and personal growth
  • Expand your toolkit with two new journaling techniques per session to support clients across various fields, from leadership to wellness and professional development
  • Engage in peer coaching to apply journaling exercises using real play
