About AC Group Supervision Experience (ACGSE) calls

AC Group Supervision Experience (ACGSE) calls are a member benefit and complimentary to attend for AC Members. Each session is made up with up to 5 participants and led by experienced supervisor hosts.

ACGSE calls are a safe space, that will provide you with an opportunity to experience group supervision in practice and discover the benefits of reflecting on your own coaching practise.

Explore client work and ethical issues while also connecting with other AC members from across the globe in a shared learning experience.

Format of ACGSE calls

Each ACGSE session has its own unique feel, style and pace evolving from the individuals attending and the issues explored. However, there will be some common patterns throughout the sessions:

  • Arrivals and Introductions – encouraging everyone to be present.
  • Contracting – confirming/agreeing ground rules.
  • Practice Review – this is the core of the session with each person having allocated time to reflect and receive input into their coaching practice.
  • Consolidating Learning – each participant briefly reflects on their main ‘learning’ and take away.
  • Departures and Journeying on – transition from the experience of supervision to preparation for ‘back to the day job’.

Sometimes ACGSE calls are themed eg Values in our Practice.

Further Professional Reflective Practise

ACGSE calls provide an opportunity to experience group supervision as a taster into supervision. If you would like to continue your professional reflective practice journey and are considering further supervision sessions, a good starting point to find a supervisor that best suits your needs would be to view the AC’s Membership Directory.

AC Accreditation and ACGSE calls

ACGSE calls will not count towards the supervision requirements of the AC Coach Accreditation.

If AC Coach Accreditation is something you’d like to explore we advise that you to record any CPD that you undertake, supervision sessions you may have (along with their dates) and note your reflections and learnings from each session as this will form part of the application process towards accreditation.

Find out more about AC Coach Accreditation here.
