Dispelling the Myths around Trauma for Coaches

Trauma has become front and centre in many of our lives, whether we realize it or not.

As a coach, you may wonder 'why do I need to know about trauma?’. When the topic of trauma first comes up in conversation with coaches, this is a common response.

But prior to the pandemic, many studies including CDC-Kaiser Adverse Childhood Experiences Study found 2 out of 3 participants had one traumatic event in their lives and 20% have had three or more.

Over the last few years, across the world people have endured a pandemic, war, sudden losses of loved ones, financial uncertainty and relationship breakdowns.

In this webinar, which is designed for coaches and draws on up-to-date research in the field, we begin to address what trauma is, so we can dispel many of the myths around it.

In this webinar you will learn:

  • How to define trauma vs what is traumatic
  • Why knowing what trauma is, helps you as a coach
  • The difference between trauma and stress
  • How to answer the question 'Is this coachable?'

Who is this for?

New Coach, Seasoned Coach, Executive Coach, Team Coach, Personal or Career Coach, Leader Coach, Health Coach, Supervisor, Internal Coach.
