AI Virtual Café: Do humans still matter when AI can coach?
Research is beginning to show something unexpected: some people report preferring to be coached by AI. That headline alone raises a dozen questions. What does preference really mean in this context? Is this true? What does the future hold for AI in coaching, and what should coaches be thinking and doing in anticipation of it? In this AI Virtual Café with Sam Isaacson, we will examine what today’s evidence actually tells us - and what it doesn’t - so you can understand the emerging landscape without getting swept up in hype or fear. We will explore the rapid advances in AI coaching systems, where they genuinely add value, and where human presence, judgment, and relational depth remain irreplaceable.
At the same time, we will look squarely at the ethical implications: data use, psychological safety, competence boundaries, and the real risks versus the imagined ones. Most importantly, we will focus on practical action—what coaches need to understand, prepare for, and do so that they can guide clients responsibly as AI becomes part of everyday work and life.
Come ready to experience the cutting edge of technology, challenge assumptions, and explore how ethical, human-centered coaching can thrive alongside intelligent tools. This is a conversation about the future of coaching and the role humans will continue to play in shaping it
In this session, we will explore: - What AI coaching can do today and will be able to do tomorrow
- Which aspects of coaching will remain reserved for humans - this might surprise you!
- Which risks are valid in AI, and which are fearmongering
- What coaches should do at a practical level to prepare themselves and clients for what’s coming
Active Learning During this interactive session, we will
brainstorm using a technology tool and develop individual action plans around the
uses of AI.
Who should be attend? This session is ideal for coaches of all levels and specialisms - executive, career, team, internal coaches, or supervisors - who are ready to explore how AI can support a sustainable, future-ready coaching practice.
Resources included Registered participants will gain access to the webinar recording and slides.
Be Part of the Conversation We look forward to hearing your ideas, questions, and experiences. Whether you’re an AI early adopter or cautiously curious, explore how technology can serve the future of coaching - thoughtfully and ethically.
