Host Bios
Ian Mitchell is a highly experienced Supervisor, working internationally in both group and individual contexts. He holds a PG Cert in Coach Supervision, an MA in Coaching Leaders through Transition and Change and is currently AC Area Chair for NW Europe. Ian’s work in supervision focuses primarily on creating and holding space for co-inquiry with coaches who are on a journey of self-authoring, both personally and professionally. The work that excites him most lies in witnessing their developmental inquiries and in helping them identify and build self-transformative practices. Ian is part of the core team at Harthill, an international ecosystem of leadership coaches, supervisors and consultants working together within the area of adult vertical development.

Marie Lord is a Developmental Executive Coach and Supervisor, facilitator and trainer on Management and Leadership programmes, and is an international associate with several coaching organisations. Her corporate background in global aviation over two decades, has afforded her a unique understanding of people, development, and the systemic world. She has in excess of 2,500 hours with corporate and private clients, across multiple sectors. Her supervision training with Oxford Brooks added the rigour of research, theory, and applied practice, and was instrumental in honing her style. She describes this as person-centred, with strong adult vertical development and psychodynamic elements. Supervision for her means reinvigorating coaches’ practice, igniting collaborative inquiry in a reflective and safe space, where courageous challenge is celebrated and rewarded.
