The AC AI Virtual Cafés Across the AI Virtual Café series, we’ve been exploring a central question: not whether AI will affect coaching, but how it will reshape what coaching can do.
Some conversations have focused on ethics. Others on human value, relational depth, or the risks of over-automation. In this Café, we shift the lens toward opportunity - what becomes possible when AI is used to extend coaching’s reach rather than replace it.
Augmenting Competencies with AI Coaching AI is often framed as a threat to coaching. But what if its real potential lies elsewhere - in helping people learn faster, embed coaching practices into daily work, and scale developmental impact across organizations?
In this AI Virtual Café with Olivier Malafronte, we will explore how AI can strengthen coaching engagement rather than replace it. When integrated intentionally, AI enables coaches, leaders, and organizations to weave coaching more naturally into the flow of work and life. It can help translate coaching insight into practical learning tools, surface patterns from coaching data, and support the development of both coaching skills and self-awareness in clients and practitioners alike.
In this session, we will explore real feedback from coaches already using AI tools, examining both their challenges and the value they are creating. We will look at practical use cases, including creating AI coaching agents to support training, helping coachees practice and internalize coaching approaches, and transforming coaching knowledge into scalable learning experiences that extend beyond the session itself.
In this session, we will explore: • Why and how AI can support the competencies development
• How coaching knowledge can be scaled and distributed using AI tools
• How coaches can create and deploy AI coaching agents or programmes
• Real use cases of AI-augmented coaching from practice and training contexts
Active Learning During this interactive session, participants will reflect on their own coaching knowledge and explore how it could be translated into AI-supported formats, including opportunities to experiment with creating simple AI coaching agents.
Who should be attend? This session is ideal for professional coaches, coaching trainers, leadership practitioners, HR/OD professionals, and supervisors who are curious about how AI can expand coaching capability, learning transfer, and developmental impact.
Preparation and Resources Participants who wish to experiment during the session are invited to bring a short document outlining their preferred coaching method or knowledge base (for example, a single PDF). This can be used to create and test a simple AI coaching agent during the session.
All registered participants will receive access to the webinar recording and slides. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Magif.ai, an AI coaching and training platform, where they can experiment with real use cases and connect with a community working at the intersection of coaching and AI. In addition, attendees will receive complimentary access to Magif.ai and the opportunity for a free 1-to-1 learning session with Olivier Malafronte.

Speaker Bio
Olivier Malafronte is an executive coach, organizational consultant, and AI leadership specialist with over a decade of experience supporting leaders, teams, and organizations to navigate complexity and accelerate impact. He holds a PhD in AI Coaching and Leadership and has been integrating AI into coaching practice since 2015, placing him among the early pioneers exploring how technology can enhance developmental work. His coaching combines inquiry, systems thinking, and human-centered design to help leaders develop clarity, resilience, and strategic decision-making. At an organizational level, he partners with leadership groups to strengthen alignment, performance, and learning cultures. Olivier’s work at the intersection of coaching and AI focuses on designing AI-augmented developmental systems that help leaders learn faster, embed reflective practice into daily work, and scale coaching knowledge across organizations.
