The Magic of Motivational Interviewing in Coaching with Tim Anstiss

“MI is an evidence-based conversation: over 2000 studies show it works.”

In this week’s episode our host, Claudia Day, is joined by Medical Doctor, Coach and Coach Trainer, Dr Tim Anstiss. They discuss Motivational Interviewing, which Tim describes as “not just effective, but efficient.”

Tim has 19 years of experience with this compassionate, caring, and person-centred approach that focuses on the belief that the client has all the resources they need to move forward, they just need help getting unstuck. Learn some of the theory and science behind MI, what the principles and processes are, and how well it integrates with other approaches. You don’t have to be a coach to use this technique, but Tim knows how well it works as a coaching approach to help change people’s lives. He hopes that this discussion will encourage further investigation.
