Several questions arise: How do we better support our clients in addressing the pace and strains of the contemporary workplace and life? What is coaching's contribution to civil society? And should coaching have a guiding ethical framework? Underpinning these is the question of whether the coaching profession should be regulated. There are pros and cons to both approaches. This Coaching Perspectives Roundtable held the space for an open and wide-ranging discussion on this subject. The Roundtable promoted the open sharing of views, experiences, and ideas in a respectful discussion. In the spirit of good journalism (and good coaching!) Speaker BiosLinda Aspey works on culture, climate change, and the environment, supporting leaders, teams, and coaches in facing our changing world's challenges. She facilitates "The Work that Reconnects" and delivers workshops and keynotes on understanding our responses to climate change and climate leadership. Linda is a speaker and trainer with Extinction Rebellion and a member of the Climate Coaching Alliance. Philippe Rosinski is a world authority in executive coaching, team coaching, and global leadership development. The author of two seminal books, Coaching Across Cultures and Global Coaching, he is considered the pioneer of intercultural and global coaching. Philippe has received numerous awards. He is based in Belgium and is a professor at the Kenichi Ohmae Graduate School of Business in Tokyo. Geoffrey Abbott, PhD, is an experienced international coach, educator, and author with expertise in leadership development and coaching in complex environments where systemic and cultural issues are critical. Geoff has coached and facilitated leadership development across many industries and different countries. He is an adjunct professor at the QUT Graduate School of Business in Brisbane. He developed the eFIRE coaching model and mindset for leaders facing Stanley Arumugam is a leadership coaching and OD consultant to executives and senior leadership teams in the non-profit, public, and private sectors. He has a background as a counsellor and community and coaching psychologist, as well as a special interest in coaching and its role in social transformation. He is also the author of Destination to Destiny Healing Journeys and a poet, blogger, and public speaker. Jeffrey Hull, PhD, is an author, educator, and consultant with over twenty years of experience partnering with C-suite executives on issues of high-performance leadership, change management, organizational strategy, structure, and culture. Jeff is the Executive Director of the Institute of Coaching, McLean Hospital, a Harvard Medical School Affiliate. He is also a clinical instructor in psychology at Harvard Medical School and an adjunct professor of leadership at New York University. Dr Pamela Larde is an Associate Professor of Leadership at Anderson University, Director of Education for the Institute of Coaching and an EZRA Coaching scientist based in London. She is committed to supporting heart-centered leaders around the world. In 2013, she founded the Academy of Creative Coaching, an ICF-accredited coach training school. Her research focuses on joy and well-being, race and gender dynamics, self-motivation, and posttraumatic growth. She has written five books and regularly conducts training and webinars. Naysan Firoozmand is a Chartered Psychologist and Occupational Psychologist with over 20 years of experience. He is the Chief Operating Officer and Head of Consultancy at Renewal Associates, specializing in organizational development, leadership, and Systemic Team Coaching. Naysan’s work focuses on bringing about significant and lasting positive change for clients globally. Rita Symons spent many years in leadership roles in the NHS, including at the CEO level. She is a Master Accredited Coach and a supervisor, and she works systemically with a range of individuals and organizations to increase confidence, capability, connection, and joy. She lives in rural Shropshire, as nature is important to her, and has two wonderful grown-up daughters. Host BiosHetty Einzig is the Executive Editor of Coaching Perspectives, the AC’s global magazine. She is also an independent executive coach and facilitator working with individuals, teams, and large groups. She designs and delivers leadership development, coaching culture change programmes, trains coaches and specializes in Transpersonal Coaching, emotional intelligence, and transition expertise. James Bridgeman is co-editor of Coaching Perspectives magazine and is a coach, mentor, and leadership consultant with twenty years of experience in digital transformation, broadcast, and journalism.
