070: Technology and Ethics in Coaching with David Clutterbuck

“Ethics is a state of mind, not just a bunch of rules”

A coaching pioneer, author of over 70 books and a co-founder of the European Mentoring and Coaching council, David Clutterbuck joins Claudia Day in this fascinating conversation about the use of ever-evolving technology in coaching.

David highlights both the fun and serious aspects of using technology, such as VR for coaching, as well as the emerging ethical issues and what an effective partnership with AI might look like. He compares the linear approach to coaching when it started in the late 1970’s, to how it has expanded into systemic and then complex adaptive models that are now having the use of technology added to them. Listen to discover why David believes that technology can either “support us” or “drown us.”
