Stress is such a common problem in the workplace and it takes a lot to get people to talk about it and share their problems ...but it's the first step to developing resilience and learning coping mechanisms.
We had some great feedback last week at the first session we ran where people really appreciated the opportunity to talk about stress and its impact and admit that modern life is challenging and demanding and that our 'always on' culture doesn't serve us well.
Social media was just one of the topics that was covered, but the tendency to become isolated and withdraw is the worrying first step to real anxiety and from there potentially depression. It's a fact that inactivity breeds depression.
